Organic Waste (green bin) and recycling (blue box) are picked up every week. Household garbage is picked up bi-weekly; there is a limit of four free bags. Any extra bags must have a sticker on them. Stickers may be purchased at the Town office or at the landfill site for $1.00 each.

All items should be placed at the roadside by 7:00 a.m. on pick-up day. Please refer to the calendar for information on pickup dates.  2010 Collection Schedule

The yard waste collection will begin on Monday April 5, 2010 in the subdivision areas, including the new Watermark subdivision and continue every other Monday.  Please ensure items are placed in paper bags or open containers and placed at the roadside by 7:00 a.m. Brush and plastic bags will not be accepted.  Yard waste collection schedule

Inclement Weather Policy - If no collection is done on your scheduled day of collection due to poor winter road conditions, you will be allowed double the garbage on your next regular scheduled day. There is no limit on the amount of organics or recycling that you place at curbside.
The trucks will not pickup up the following day. Due to high winds and snow plough activity it is recommended that you place something heavier on top of your recycling to ensure that these items are secure and to prevent items from blowing onto the ground. Please ensure that items are placed clear of the path of the snowploughs.

LARGE ITEM PICKUP: Arrangements can be made directly with the contractor (Sandhill Disposal & Recycling) at 1-888-941-3345 to have items such as appliances and furniture picked up.  There is a nominal fee for this service.

Construction/demolition waste should be taken to the Dufferin Transfer Facility. There is a fee for disposal. For more information on the transfer facility please call 519-943-0101.
