TAKE NOTICE THAT the Corporation of the Town of Mono has received Application for a Zoning Bylaw Amendment.

In accordance with Section 34(10.4) and Section 51(19) of the Planning Act, Council of the Town of Mono deemed the above noted Application complete on the 12th day of January, 2016.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the Zoning Bylaw Amendment is to consider a proposal to rezone the subject lands from the current RURAL (A) Zone to SPECIAL RURAL - 1 (A-1) Zone. The Amendment will permit the construction of a 362 sq m (3900 sq ft) accessory building on a 3.98 acre parcel, in conjunction with a home occupation (veterinary clinic) on the property, having 2 office spaces, a garage for a mobile truck unit, and two horse stalls, for treatment and artificial breeding purposes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, including the proposed draft Zoning Bylaw amendment and any supporting information and documentation, are available for public viewing during regular office hours at the Town office at 347209 Mono Centre Road.

TOWN OF MONO PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE will be reviewing this application TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd, 2016 at 7:15 P.M. at the Town of Mono Council Chambers located at 347209 Mono Centre Road, 4 kms east of Highway #10/24. Meetings of the Planning and Environmental Advisory Committee are open to the public, and the public are welcome to attend and submit comments on the matter. Please note that the Planning and Environmental Advisory Committee only make recommendations to Council on the merits of the application.

A STATUTORY PUBLIC COUNCIL MEETING will be held on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16th, 2016 at 9:15 A.M. at the Town of Mono Council Chambers at the above address. Any person or agency may attend the Public meeting and/or make written or verbal submissions regarding the proposed amendment.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Mono before the proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Mono to the Ontario Municipal Board and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

A KEY MAP is provided to show the location of the lands to which the proposed applications apply.
