There are no fire bans in effect.

Residents are reminded that fire permits are required before lighting any fire. Permits can be obtained online, or by visiting the Municipal Office during office hours.

Burn permits expire Dec 31 of the year obtained and must be renewed each year. No more than 1 cubic metre of material is to be burned at a time.

Before submitting a Fire Permit Application, ensure that you have reviewed and fully comply with the Fire Permit Bylaw.

Fire permits are valid until 31 December of the current year. It is the permit holder's responsibility to call the municipal office at 519. 941.3599 or check the website during dry periods or any time during the months of April and May to ensure that a fire ban is not in effect.
